ABOUT US

Molon’s Path to physiotherapy was carved through his involvement in a variety of sports since his youth. He embarked on a journey through multiple sports and played International Field Hockey at the Junior and Senior levels. Molon has a Diploma in Physical Education and is internationally certified to coach several sports including: Volleyball (FIVB), Soccer (FIFA), Field Hockey, Track & Field and has himself played several of these sports at the club level. Prior to being a Physiotherapist, he Taught Art & Craft, Physical Education and Biology for 8 years to Grades 7-13 students. During this period of time he coached and played. Molon was also a Personal Trainer for a year before returning to University to complete Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy and his Physical Therapy Degree.
In his spare time he indulges in seeking answers to musculoskeletal issues that ails us. He also enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, biking, high intensity training; the great outdoors as well as being the worlds best uncle to his wonderful nieces and nephews. Molon enjoys the challenge of treating chronic injuries and pain as well as acute injuries and post surgery.

    EDUCATION / PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Molon is a Registered Physiotherapist who completed both his Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology (2010) and Athletic Therapy Certificate in (2011) at York University. While at York University, Molon was recognized for his dedication, with the Student Athletic Therapist of the year award. He was Lead Athletic Therapist for the Men’s Varsity Hockey Team as well as Women’s and Men’s Varsity Soccer Teams. During His Time in the Athletic Therapy Programs his placement saw him with the Humber College Athletic Therapy Staff as Lead Therapist for Men’s Basketball and Rugby as well as main Therapist for the Ontario Junior Development Programs. He was also awarded the Humber Spirit Award given to individuals for contribution to the Humber College Athletic Community.  Molon then went on to complete his Master of Physiotherapy at Queen’s University in 2014.
As a Physiotherapist, Molon values the role of continuing education and embarked on a journey to obtain answers to the missing link between chronic pain, acute injuries and Neurofunctional pattern dysfunctions. This has lead him to complete and obtain certification in the following courses in manual therapy:,
o    Soft Tissue Release,
o    Shift Concussion Rehabilitation,
o    McMaster *Contemporary Medical Acupuncture and
o    Neurofunctional Sports Performance Practitioner Certificates,
o    Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT),
o    Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex (P-DTR); and
o    The Active Shoulder (Clinical Seminars).
Treatment with Molon will include a detailed assessment, educating the patient on the injury and findings as well as Differential Diagnosis with the necessary referral if further investigation is required.
*Contemporary Medical Acupuncture is taught by Dr. Alejandro Elorriaga Claraco at the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program and the Neurofunctional Sports Performance Practitioner and Specialist Programs
